Ingredients
- 1 egg plus enough water to make 1 cup
- 3 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup shortening (we used veg oil)
- 1 1/2 tsp yeast
- Toppings
- shredded cheese, as much as you would like(we used the mixed blend)
- melted butter
- One reviewer suggested cheddar cheese, roasted garlic and redpepper

Step 1
1. Place ingredients in inner pot of bread machine in order listed. We used the basic dough setting.
2. When the process is complete, remove dough onto a lightly floured surface, punch down and fold in as much cheese as you wish into the dough. Do not knead the dough too much.
3. Place in a greased bowl. Turn dough to coat evenly. Let stand in a warm place until doubled in size.
4. Punch down again and divide into 18 equal pieces. Spread some melted butter over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle some cheese on top.
5. Arrange the rolls in a well greased 13x9 baking sheet. Let rise one more time until doubled in size. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown (15 mins).
