Ingredients
- 4 oz. Dry French Bread, cut into 3/4 inch cubes (4 cups)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 6 slices Bacon, crisp-cooked, drained, and crumbled
- 2 cups milk
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons snipped fresh Italian Flat-Leaf Parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon ground Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl toss together the bread crumbs, cheddar cheese, and cooked bacon. Place all of the mixture in one 2-quart rectangular baking dish. In a medium bowl, whick together the milk, eggs, parlsey, mustard, pepper and onion powder. Pour over the bread mixture in the casserole dish. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours or up to 24 hours. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for about 40-50 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
