- 1/2 lb. elbow macaroni
- 1 t. butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 t. salt
- 1 t. dry mustard
- 1 T. hot water
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar (9 oz.)

Step 1
Cook macaroni. Stir in butter and egg. Mix salt and mustard with hot water. Add to milk. Add cheese, reserving enough to sprinkle over top. Pour macaroni into buttered casserole. Add milk/cheese mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350F for 45 mins. until custard is set and top is crispy.
