  • 1 C butter softened
  • 3 C sifted cake flour
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 3 C sugar
  • 7 large eggs, room temp
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 1 C heavy cream

Preparation

Step 1

do NOT preheat oven
- sift together flour and salt and repeat
- beat butter and sugar on med high for 5 minutes
-add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each
-beat in vanilla
-with mixer on low, add 1/2 of the flour, all the cream, then the rest of the flour. Scrape bowl.
-beat on med high for 5 minutes
-put in greased and floured pans
-put in cold oven and turn to 350 degrees
-bake 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes
-cool on rack in pan 30 minutes before inverting to cool completely
