Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup butter, melted

Topping:
Beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, once at a time, beating after each addition.
Combine flour, baking powder soda, and salt; add to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix at low speed just until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Pour batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Prepare topping by combining topping ingredients.
Sprinkle cake with topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack.
