Ingredients

  • 2 oz. white chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits (skor bits)
  • 1/2 cup macadamia nuts, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Line an 8 inch square cake pan with foil, leaving overhang for handles. Set aside.

In a double boiler melt chocolate; let cool slightly. (do not let water boil)

Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, beat butter with brown sugar until fluffy.

Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in chocolate.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; stir into butter mixture. Fold in toffee bits and nuts. Spread in prepared pan.

Bake in a 350F oven until tester inserted in center comes out clean. 25-30 minutes.

Let cool in pan on rack. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours. Remove from pan and cut into bars.
