- 8 oz semisweet baking chocolate
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3-4 Tbs rum or cointreau
- 1 Tbs granulated brown sugar, optiona;

Preparation
Step 1
Break the chocolate into small pieces, place in the fondue pot and pour in the cream, rum or cointreau, and sugar if using.
Place over moderate heat ad cook, stirring frequently until melted and thoroughly blended.
Carefully transfer the fondue pot to the lighted burner and serve with amaretti or chocolate chip cookies, strawberries and banana pieces, speared onto the fondue forks as dippers.
Also serve with: pound cake, marshmallows, pretzels. and pineapple
