Pork and Rice a la Orange

Ingredients
- 4 pork chops, 3/4 inch thick
- 2/3 cup long grain rice
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup chopped apple
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- thin orange slices (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Brown chops. Season. Remove and set aside, reserving drippings. Cook rice in drippings until golden, stirring constantly. Stir in water and juice. Bring to boil. Stir in apple through to cinnamon. Turn into 9 by 9 by 2 inch pan. Arrange chops pn top. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove cover. Arrange orange slices on top. Bake uncovered for 10 more minutes.
