  • 3 tablespoons diced tasso
  • 3 thinly sliced green onions
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 2 eggs

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix the rice and dry ingredients together thoroughly.
2. Sprinkle on hot sauce.
3. Add eggs and when thoroughly mixed, drop by spoonfuls into hot deep fat (360 degrees F) and fry until brown.
4. Drain on paper.
5. Serve hot with remoulade sauce.
