Ingredients

  • 1 loaf bread, about 3 cups
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup sugar or to taste
  • 1 carton sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups milk
  • Rum Sauce
  • 4 T. unsalted butter
  • 1/2 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup dark rum
  • Toffee Sauce
  • 2 oz. Brandy
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 4 oz. brown sugar
  • 2 oz. cream

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients together in large bowl until mushy. Bake at 350F until knife comes out clean.

Rum Sauce:
Melt butter over med heat. Remove from heat and add sugar and whisk in rum.

Toffee Sauce:
Combine all ingredients in sauce pan over low heat until boiling. Remove from heat and serve.
