Mac'n Cheesy Ham Soup

Ingredients
- 4 ounces medium shell uncooked pasta
- 2 tablespoons Crystal Farms® butter
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/3 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 can (14 ounces) chicken broth
- 4 ounces cooked ham, chopped
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1 cup (4 ounces) Crystal Farms® shredded Mac and Cheese

Preparation
Step 1
1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain; set aside.
2. Meanwhile, melt butter in large saucepan. Cook onion, red bell pepper and garlic over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, 2 to 3 minutes or until onions are tender.
3. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in flour. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in chicken broth until mixture is smooth. Bring mixture just to a boil over medium low heat.
4. Add ham, milk, salt and ground red pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes or until mixture is thickened and flavors are blended.
5. Add cooked pasta and shredded cheese. Cook until cheese is melted.
