Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 cups sifted flour
• 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 2 tablespoons shortening
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1/2 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Cream shortening and peanut butter together. Beat in other ingredients one at a time. Stir in flour mixture, blending well. CHILL. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness on slightly floured board.

Press with fork in criss-cross direction.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake in 350 degree oven
