  • 3 cups lentils
  • 9 cups water
  • 3/4 cup olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

Fry onions in oil until dark brown. Clean and sort lentils. Soak in water while onions are cooking. Add lentils and water. Reduce heat to a low boil until lentils are softened. Add Bulgar wheat and cook on very low, covered, until lentils are soft, approx. 10 mins. or until liquid is absorbed.
