Ingredients

  • TOPPING:
  • 1 1/2 C Flour
  • 1 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 t nutmeg
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1/3 C shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 C milk
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 6 T melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

1. Grease 12 muffin cups.

2. Stir together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Set aside.

3. Cream together 1/2 C sugar, shortening and egg. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.

4. Bake in muffin cups 350 deg. 20 - 25 mins.

5. Cool slightly, dip tops in melted butter and coat in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
