Ingredients
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 can whole kernel corn
- 1 can creamed style corn
- 1 tsp. lard or other cooking fat

Step 1
1. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and pepper.
2. Make a well in the center, and pour in the egg, milk, whole kernel corn and cream-style corn. Mix until all ingredients are combined.
3. Heat the lard in a skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Drop tbsp. sized dollops of batter onto the hot skillet, and fry for 2-3 min on each side, or until golden brown.
