Ingredients
- 1 quart fresh peaches, sliced (about 8 large ripe peaches)
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring
- pinch salt
- 1 9-inch pie shell, baked

Preparation
Step 1
Cut up 1 cup of peaches; add water and cook 4 minutes.
M ix cornstarch and sugar and add to peach mixture. Cook until thick and clear. Add lemon juice, almond flavoring, butter and salt. Cool.
Arrange remaining sliced peaches in cooled pie shell. Pour cooked peach glaze over sliced peaces. Chill pie for several hours.
At serving time, top with whipped cream or whipped topping.
