  • 2 cups cooked rice, at room temperature
  • 2/3 cup best-quality Gruyere, grated

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Butter the 9-inch glass pie pan.


Beat the egg until frothy. Add the rice and cheese and stir well. Mix all the pie crust ingredients and press it into the pie pan.

Pour filling onto crust and bake about 40 minutes or until filling is done: golden and puffed. Cool 5 minutes.
