Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 20 perogies
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) ham or bacon, cooked & diced
  • 1 1/4 cups (310 ml) milk
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Add the onion & green pepper. Saute for five minutes.
2. In a baking dish, combine the perogies, onion, green pepper & bacon (or ham).
3. In a small bowl, combine the milk with the cream of mushroom soup. Pour this mixture over the perogies. Top with the cheddar cheese.
4. Bake in a preheated 350ºF (180ºC) oven for 45 minutes or until it is heated through.
