Ingredients

  • 1

    lb. ground beef

  • 1/2

    c. italian bread crumbs

  • 1/2

    c. grated parmesan cheese

  • 2

    eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1/3

    c. finely chopped onion

  • 2

    cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2

    tsp. black pepper

  • 1/4

    tsp. salt

  • 1

    bottle (12 oz.) light beer

  • 1 1/2

    c. tomato sauce

  • 1

    c. ketchup

  • 2

    tbsp. tomato paste

  • 1/2

    c. packed brown sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 400. Line broiler pan w/ foil; spray rack w/ nonstick cooking spray. Combine beef, bread crumbs, cheese, eggs, onion, garlic, pepper, and salt in large bowl; shape into 1 inch balls. Place meatballs on broiling rack. Bake 10 mins. or till browned. Combine beer, tomato sauce, ketchup, tomato paste, and sugar in large Dutch oven; bring to boil. Add meatballs and reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20-30 mins. or till meatballs are cooked through, stirring occassionally.
