Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 1/2 ts baking powder
- 1/2 ts salt
- 1/2 # butter
- 1 egg
- 3/4 to 1 cup milk
- raisins or other dried fruit

Step 1
Combine flour, sugar baking powder, salt and butter in food processor. Blend to coarse texture with butter still in pea sized pieces. Beat eggs with buttermilk in a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients, nuts, seeds and raisins to the egg mixture and mix just until blended. Turn the dough onto a floured board, shape in a disk, cut wedges. Place on baking sheet, brush with egg and sprinke with sugar.
Bake at 350 for 15- 20 minutes.
