Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup golden or light corn syrup
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2 t cinnamon
- 2 t ground ginger
- 1 t nutmeg
- 1 3/4 t baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk

Preparation
Step 1
Blend together sugar, margarine and shortening. Beat in eggs, one at a time; add syrups and set aside. Sift together flour and spices. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk; add alternately to batter with flour. Fill greased and floured muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes
