Ingredients

  • 16 oz pkg spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 med onion, chopped
  • 26 oz spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 tsp seasoning salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 5 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 4 cups mozzarella, shredded

Preparation

Step 1

Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until no longer pink, drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and seasoning salt; set aside. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, Parmesan cheese and butter. Drain spaghetti; add to egg mixture and toss to coat.

Place half spaghetti mixture in a greased 13" x 9" x 2" baking dish. Top with half of cottage cheese, meat sauce and mozzarella, repeat layers. Cover and bake at 350º for 40 minutes. Uncover; bake 20-25 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
