Ingredients

  • 6-7 lbs of hard shell clams or 3-4 cans of clams
  • 2 cups of clam juice (liquid from cans or clam water)
  • 4 Tbs butter
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 1/2 Cups of chopped celery
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups of whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 1/2 cups of corn
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Add clam juice, celery, clams, corn, thyme, and bay leaf.

Bring to boil, then simmer for 25 min.

Add the milk bring back to boil and turn off heat, enjoy!

I added to pieces of bacon for flavor and used canned clams with the juice.
