Ingredients
- 2/3 c water
- 4 T wilton meringue powder
- 3 lb (12 c) sifted powdered sugar
- 1 1/4 c solid vegetable shortening
- 3/4 t salt
- 3/4 t wilton clear vanilla extract
- 1/2 t butter flavor
- 3/4 t almond extract, optional

Preparation
Step 1
1. Combine water and meringue powder. Whip at high speed until peaks form. Add 4 cups sugar, one cup at a time, beating at low speed after each addition. Alternately add shortening and remaining sugar. Add salt and flavorings. Beat at low speed until smooth.
2. Add 1 T water for thinner consistency or hold 1T for thicker consistency.
