SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE

Ingredients

• 2/3 C shortening
• 3/4 c sugar
• 1/2 t vanilla
• 1 egg
• 4 t milk
• 2 c flour
• 1 1/2 t baking powder
• dash of salt
• 1/2 t orange peel (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add egg and beat well. Add milk and dry ing and mix well. Chill dough for about 1 hour. roll out dough 1/4" thick on lightly floured surface, dip cutters into flour before each use. Cut into shapes. Bake on ungreased sheet.

Bake 375 for 6-8 min
