Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 T oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- 14 oz jar spaghetti sauce
- 15 oz can stewed tomatoes
- 2 oz jar sliced mushrooms
- 8 oz pkg shell pasta, cooked
- 3 cups sour cream
- 1/2 lb sliced provolone cheese
- 1/2 lb sliced mozzarella cheese

Preparation
Step 1
In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef in oil, stirring often; drain. Add onions, garlic, sauce, tomatoes and undrained mushrooms; mix well. Simmer 20 minutes. In a lightly greased deep 3 quart casserole dish, layer half of cooked shells, half of ground beef mixture and half of sour cream; top with provolone cheese. Layer with remaining sheels, ground beef mixture and sour cream; top with mozzarella cheese. Cover; bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Uncover and bake for 10 minutes, until cheese melts and is slightly golden. Makes 12 servings.
