Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup margarine, softened
• 1 egg
• 1/2 tsp salt
• Colored Sugars

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, stir flour, powder, salt and sugar together. Add margarine, vanilla and egg. Mix thoroughly until well blended. Shape into ball, wrap airtight in plastic and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

Divide dough in thirds. Roll out on lightly floured surface to 3/16" thickness using a floured rolling pin. Cut into desired shapes. Place on greased baking sheet and sprinkle with desired sugar.

Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes.
