Ingredients

  • 1 can chicken or celery soup
  • 1/2 cup milk or sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cups sliced potatoes (about 4 potatoes)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Blend soup, milk and pepper. Arrange alternate layers of potatoes, onion, cheese and sauce in buttered casserole. Dot with butter, sprinkle with paprika. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for one hour. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes. Grated cheese may be sprinkled on top.
