Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup salad oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup snipped parsley
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion
  • 2 tablespoons mayo or salad dressing
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 medium tomatoes, cored and cut into wedges

Step 1

In a screw-top jar, combine all ingredients except tomatoes. Cover and shake. Place tomato wedges in a bowl and pour marinade over them. Stir gently. Cover and chill for several hours, stirring once. Use a slotted spoon to remove tomatoes. Arrange on a platter.
