Ingredients

1 ) 1 chocolate cake mix Edit Delete
2 ) 14 oz. bag caramels Edit Delete
3 ) 1 cup chocolate chips Edit Delete
4 ) 1 cup pecans, chopped Edit Delete
5 ) 3/4 cup butter Edit Delete
6 ) 1/2 cup evaporated milk Edit Delete
7 ) chocolate frosting

Preparation

Step 1

Follow directions on box to make cake mix. Put 1/2 mix in greased 9x13 pan. Bake 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt caramels, chocolate chips, pecans, butter and carnation milk in microwave or double boiler. Pour this mixture over first half or baked cake. Pour the rest of the unbaked cake mix on top of this mixture. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Frost with chocolate frosting if desired.
