Ingredients

  • 1 packet of Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Cinnamon Roll Flavor Mix
  • 1 package of Duncan Hines Spice Cake Mix
  • 1 can of Frosting Creations Frosting Starter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup flour

Preparation

Step 1

1. Divide can of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter in two. Pour pack of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Cinnamon Roll Flavor Mix into one half. Stir until evenly blended.
2. Heat oven to350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large mixing bowl, on medium speed, beat cake mix, shortening, butter and sour cream until combined. Add flour 1/2 cup at a time and mix until blended.
3. Using a large cookie scoop (3 tablespoons), shape dough into 18 (1-3/4 inch) balls. On ungreased large cookie sheet, place balls 3 inches apart; flatten each to form a 2-1/2 inch round.
4. Bake 6-8 minutes or until puffed and edges are set, centers will be soft. Let stand 5 minutes before carefully removing to cooling racks. Cool completely.
5. Frost half of the top of each cookie with cinnamon frosting and the other half with plain frosting.
