ICE CREAM FUDGY CHOCOLATE NUT

Ingredients

• 5 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
• 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
• 4 egg yolks
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 cups (1 pint) half and half
• 2 cups (1 pint) whipping cream, unwhipped
• 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

In large bowl, beat chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks and vanilla, mix well. Stir in half and half then whipping cream and nuts. Pour into ice cream container. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.

Refrigerator-Freezer Method: Omit half and half. Reduce chocolate to 3 (1 ounce) squares. Whip whipping cream. Combine chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks and vanilla as above. Fold in whipped cream and nuts. Pour into 9x5" loaf pan, cover. Freeze 6 hours or until firm.

Fudgy Rocky Road: Use 3/4 cup chopped peanuts for nuts, and 1 cup miniature marshmallows. Proceed as above.

Fudgy Chocolate Chips: Omit nuts if desired. Add 1 cup mini chocolate chips. Proceed as above.
