Philly Cheese and Ground Beef Casserole

Bring the fabulous flavor of Philly cheese steak sandwiches to a comforting casserole!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
- 8 oz. sliced mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 8 slices provel cheese (I just mixed shredded American, Swiss and Provelone)
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 2 large onions, halved and sliced
- 2 bell peppers, cut into strips (I used one red, one yellow)
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 can (16.3 oz.) Pillsbury Grands Homestyle original biscuits

Step 1
Heat oven to 350 F. Spray a 13x9 baking dish with cooking spray.
In 12-inch skillet, cook beef, mushrooms, salt and pepper over medium-high heat about 9 minutes; drain. Place in baking dish. cover beef with the cheese.
In the same skillet, cook peppers and onions in the butter. Here i also added about a quarter teaspoon of salt. Add the garlic and cook another minute. Spoon over the cheese.
Mash each biscuit down into 5 inchd circles and arrange over the top.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes. Enjoy!
