  • 4 1-oz squares semisweet chocolate
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp butter flavoring
  • 1 1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Step 1

Combine chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted. Cool slightly. Combine sugar and next 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add chocolate mixture, stirring until smooth. Stir in pecans. Spoon into muffin pans lined with paper baking cups, filling each two-thirds full. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes. Yields 2 dozen.
