Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 T's sugar
- 4 t's baking powder
- 1.5 t's salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup buttermilk

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat to 450.
2. In a large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
3. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the butter milk and stir quickly with a fork until mixture forms a soft dough and leaves the sides of the bowl,
4. On a lightly floured surface with floured hands, knead 10 times. Then pat the dough into an 8 inch square. Then cut into 9 individual squares
5. Separate gently and place on cookie sheet about an inch apart and bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly brown
