Ingredients
- 3 cups whole fresh green or yellow beans, cooked
- 4 bacon slices
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup mayo
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 fresh tomatoes, unpeeled and quartered

Preparation
Step 1
Saute bacon, remove and crumble. Cook onion in the same pan. Combine with beans and bacon in a 2-quart casserole.
Blend mayo, sour cream and cheese. Pour over bean mixture and toss lightly. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add tomato quarters. Cover and heat thoroughly just before serving.
NOTE:
Prepare beans by removing ends and strings. Leave whole or cut into 1-inch pieces. For French-style, slice diagonally end-to-end.
To cook beans, place in a covered pan in a small amount of boiling salted water until crisp-tender, 20 to 30 minutes.
