Chess Squares

Ingredients

• Topping:
• 1 box yellow cake mix
• 1 egg
• 1 stick butter, melted
• 1 cup pecans, chopped
• 1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
• 1 box confectioners sugar
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13" pan. Mix first 4 ingredients together and spread to all corners of pan. Mix topping ingredients together and spread over cake mix mixture in pan. Bake for 1 hour (top should be lightly browned). Let cool completely and cut into squares.
