  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups confectioners powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint or mint extract
  • Assorted food colorings (optional)
  • extra fine granulated sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cream cheese, peppermint extract and powdered sugar in a large bowl until well blended.

Divide in mixture in half. Color each half with desired food coloring.

Shape each sugar mixture into a (4 inch x 1/2 inch height square.) Cut into 24 squares. Dip each square into sugar. Let dry for 2 hours.

Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

Note: May leave mints white, if desired. Also may use molds to make mints or shape into round ball if desired. Mints are also delicious dipped in milk or dark chocolate.
