Ingredients

  • Crust and Crumbs:
  • 1/2 cup ground almonds or pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 1/2 oz margarine, melted
  • 1 cup flour
  • Ice Cream:
  • 8 eggs, separated
  • 2 pkgs vanilla sugar
  • 3 Tbsp instant coffee
  • 1 1/2 cups whip
  • Chocolate Fudge:
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup whip
  • Whipped Topping:
  • 1 cup whip
  • 2 Tbsp Confectionary sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Crust:
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix crust ingredients in a bowl. Set aside a handful for crumbs.
Spread remaining mixture into a 10x15 pan.
Bake for 20 minutes and cool.
Bake the separated handful in a small pan for a few minutes, just until it hardens and it golden.
Crumble and set aside.
Ice Cream:
Beat egg whites until stiff. Slowly add rest of ingredients.
Pour ice cream on top of cooled crust.
Freeze until firm.
Fudge:
Cook the fudge ingredients.
Cool.
Pour on top of ice cream. Return to the freezer.
Whipped Topping:
Whip together. Spread over fudge layer. Top with crumbs and/or nuts.
Freeze.
