Gerties Sugar Cookies

Homemade sugar cookies.

Ingredients

• 2 Eggs
• 2 Cups Sugar
• 1 Cup Crisco
• 2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
• 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
• 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
• 2 Teaspoon Vanilla
• 1 Cup Sour Milk (1 cup of milk plus 1 tsp of vinegar let sit for a few minutes then mix and pour in)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients together.

Add flour to make soft dough. About 4 - 5 cups. Dough should not stick to fingers or cookie cutter.

Cut into cookies and bake at 350 for 8 - 12 minutes.

If dough it too thin, cookies will be hard.

Decorate with sprinkles. If you do not use sprinkles, use a pinch of sugar and sprinkle over cookies prior to baking.
