Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies 1 Picture


  • Brownies:
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup Hershey's cocoa
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup milk chocolate morsels
  • Peanut butter filling:
  • 2 (3 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. milk

Step 1

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9x13 baking pan. Prepare peanut butter filling (see below).

2. Place butter in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high (100%) 2 minutes or until melted. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a a time; beat well with spoon after each addition.

3. Add cocoa; beat until well blended. Add flour, powder and salt; beat well. Stir in chocolate chips.

4. Reserve 1 cup batter; pour remaining batter into prepared pan. Spread peanut butter filling over top. Drop reserved batter by teaspoonfuls over filing. Using knife, gently swirl through top layers for marbled effect.

5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.

Peanut butter filling:
In small mixing bowl, beat all ingredients for filling until smooth and creamy.
