I do not use chocolate chips at all, and use 1 cup of walnuts instead of 1/2 cup of walnuts.


I puree 1st 6 ingredients in blender, then put in ice cream maker for 15 min (ice cream should thicken a bit). Then add walnuts 1/2 cup at a time (still while ice cream maker is spinning), and let it go for 5 min more.


The ice cream will be a little runny, so it's important to transfer ice cream to plastic container and freeze for a couple hours before eating.

Step 1

In a blender or food processor, combine bananas, lemon juice, vanilla, sugar, cream and milk. Puree until smooth. Transfer mixture to the freezer canister of an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. When ice cream begins to stiffen, add walnuts and chocolate chips.
