Ingredients
- Dough:
- 6 cups flour
- 2 cups shortening (not buttered)
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup sour cream (if you don't have sour cream: take a 1 cup measuring cup and add 1tbsp vinegar, add evaporated milk to the cup line and mix, then add 1 tsp baking soda)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Icing:
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 cups Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 3-4 tbsp evaporated Milk (add milk to desired consistency)

Preparation
Step 1
Combine:
6 cups flour
2 cups shortening (not buttered)
2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp salt
Seperate
2 cups sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 cup sour cream (if you don't have sour cream: take a 1 cup measuring cup and add 1tbsp vinegar, add evaporated milk to the cup line and mix, then add 1 tsp baking soda)
Mix all ingredients together then add:
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon juice
Refrigerate dough for 1-2 hours before rolling out. Bake at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
Icing:
Cream together
1/2 cup butter softened
1 pinch of salt
4 cups Powdered sugar
Then add:
1 tsp Vanilla
3-4 tbsp evaporated Milk (add milk to desired consistency)
