Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 teas. salt
  • 1/4 teas. nutmeg
  • 2 2/3 c. scalding hot milk or half and half
  • 1 teas. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Heat half and half to scalding. Then beat sugar, eggs, salt, nutmeg, and vanilla together. Add scalding milk and beat well.
Pour into pastry lined pie pan. Bake until a knife comes clean. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 min. then reduce heat to 350 to finish for 25 to 30 min.
