Ingredients
- 20 thick slices white bread
- 2-3 tbsp dijon mustard
- 12 slices cheddar
- oil for shallow frying
- plain flour, for dusting
- 3 eggs, beaten lightly
- watercress to garnish (optional)

Step 1
1. Remove the crusts from the bread. Spread the bread with mustard, place a slice of cheese on top, then finish with another slice of bread.
2.Heat a little oil in frying pan. Dust the sandwiches lightly with flour then dip quickly in egg.
3. Fill a deep skillet pan with 1/3 full oil. Deep fry in oil until golden brown on all sides.
