Nutella Mug Cake

A perfect treat for surprise guests, the whole thing comes together in under five minutes.

The cake was quite good, and it was fun to put together, but don't be mislead, as I was, about the size. This comes out to be a rather large piece of cake-- it filled a 3-cup mug! Next time I will put the batter together and then split it between two coffee cups.

Ingredients

• 4 tablespoons self rising flour
• 4 tablespoons sugar
• 1 egg
• 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
• 3 tablespoons Nutella
• 3 tablespoons milk
• 3 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil

Preparation

Step 1

1. Combine all ingredients in a large coffee mug. Whisk well with a fork until smooth. Microwave on high for 1-1/2 to 3 minutes. (Time depends on microwave wattage.)

2. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Enjoy!

Note: Depending on the wattage of your microwave, you may have to increase cooking time.
