Ingredients

  • First Frosting:
  • 1 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs, unbeaten
  • 1 cup cocoa
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts, optional
  • 1 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tbs instant vanilla pudding powder
  • 3 tbs milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • Second Frosting:
  • 3 tbs butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups powder sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter - add sugar slowly. Add eggs one at a time. Blend in cocoa, flour and salt. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a greased and floured jelly roll pan. Bake on 350° for 30 minutes.

First Frosting:
Cream butter. Add in vanilla pudding and milk. Beat in powdered sugar. Spread on cooled brownies. Set aside to harden.

Second Frosting:

Mix butter and cocoa. Add milk and vanilla. Add powdered sugar and salt. Use more milk if necessary. Spread on top of the iced brownies.
