Preparation

Step 1

Place halves of onion in bottom of crockpot. Pour 3-5 ounces of water in bottom of crockpot. Cover pork with seasoning. Place pork on top of onions. (Keeps it from sitting in fat drippings that will eventually come off the roast.) Turn crockpot to LOW setting and cook for 15 hours. (Hint: cook overnight) Take pork from crockpot and place in a pan. Drain fat from crockpot. Shred pork with a fork and place back in crockpot on warm setting. Serve with BBQ sauce.

Use as meat entree or for BBQ pulled pork sandwiches.

To freeze: Place leftover meat in freezer bag and place in freezer. Thaw in refrigerator the day before reheating it. To reheat: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place meat in baking pan, drizzle with butter and a little white vinegar. Cook in oven until heated through, 30-40 minutes.
