Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 5 cups flour
- 2 tbs baking powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chopped almonds or walnuts
- 1 egg yolk & 1 tsp water

Step 1
Mix together flour and baking powder in large bowl. Cream together butter, sugar and eggs. Add milk and extracts, alternating with flour. Fold in nuts. Divide dough into 3 equal parts. On floured surface, shape each into 2 x12 inch long roll. Place on baking sheet, flatten slightly. Mix egg yolk and water; brush over rolls. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes, until light golden. Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Place cut-side down. Bake 12-15 minutes, until golden. After 6-7 minutes, take out and turn over bake another 6-7 minutes
