Ingredients
- INGREDIENTS;
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 2 tsp salt 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 1/4 tsp pepper 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 lbs veal shanks 1 cup water
- 3 tbsp butter 1 tsp dried basil
- 3 tbsp Olive oil 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 cup chopped onion 3 sprigs of fresh parsley (I use dried)
- 1 cup sliced carrots 1 bay leaf

Step 1
DIRECTIONS;
1. Preheat oven to 350. In a shallow dish stir flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge meat in flour mix. Melt butter with EVOO in an oven safe pan and brown meat. Remove meat.
2. Add onion, carrots, celery and garlic to pan drippings. Cook lightly for about 5 min.
3. Stir in tomato sauce, water, basil, thyme, parsley, and bay leaf. Add the meat and bring to a boil, then move to oven for 2 ½ to 3 hrs.
